About the Fund:

The Randy Custis Memorial Fund is a tribute to a nine year old boy who loved the game of baseball. In 1978,Randy was killed by a drunk driver. His parents established the fund so that other children could benefit from the game and grow to love baseball as much as Randy did.

The present Little League fields in Nassawadox were constructed with seed money from the original memorial fund. In 1988, little league players threw the first pitch at the complex, which at the time, was located on rented land.

The single baseball field Randy once played on had no restroom facilities and only a small conconcession stand. With contributions to this memorial fund, his two brothers and hundreds of other Shore youth have had the privilege of playing at the Randy Custis Memorial Park.

The Randy Custis Memorial Fund is dedicated to the maintenance and improvement of the recreational complex in Nassawadox.

Many Hands and Hearts joined together to construct the Randy Custis Memorial Park; once again we are calling on the community to come together for our children’s benefit.

The Randy Custis Memorial Fund is a non~profit corporation.It is organized exclusively and is tax~exempt under Section 501(c)3, applied for, of the IRS.
